When spring rolls around, one thing comes to mind for some people… spring fever. It’s almost become running joke with some friends (not the relationships that have budded in this time, just the fact that it all happens at the same time) that its quite prevalent this year. For me however, spring usually brings very different things the past couple years. I know its spring when…
- The days get longer. I am so excited for that.
- Pastor John sends out an email to accepted missions team members telling them to get ready….and I respond with a hearty “YES, I have received this email. And YES, I accept!!!”
- I set aside more and more nights to “study”
- its time to read “Let the Nations Be Glad” and “For The Sake of His Name”…
- Saturday afternoons are mainly spent in various coffeeshops…with wifi of course
- I look forward to spending Monday nights at the beach playing volleyball
- Bridal showers galore
- Joyce sends out emails asking what we should pick out for various wedding gifts
- birthday party planning nearly every weekend…. (1 in March, 2 in April and 2 in May! And they are all SUPER good friends.)
- Someone (yes that’s me) starts getting restless and wants to travel any and everywhere
- I just plain exercise more…whether its soccer, volleyball or basketball
- Eating lighter foods like salads!
- Graduation at UCSD!
- Senior Portraits
- More quiet time and meditation in general
- Meetings galore…but I love them because its a time to hear what Pastor John has been learning
- Super quality conferences being put on by Grace Community Church…Resolved, Women Discipling Women (I HIGHLY recommend this one!) and Men Discipleing Men
- BOOGIE BOARDING. YESSSSS. I love spending time in the water.
- Lakers in the playoffs!!!! I’m ready to sport my Kobe jersey around town
- Firming up my different convictions and doctrines
- Dwelling upon the gospel.
So with all that said… I really don’t mind spring at all.
